Our RE learning involves celebrating Chinese New Year and learning about the Jewish religion and about some of their main beliefs. In Music, we will learn how to identify high and low notes and to compose a simple tune, children will investigate how tempo changes, they will help tell a story and make music more exciting. DT will involve learning about the key parts of a wheeled vehicle to develop an understanding of how wheels, axles and axle holders work. In PHSE, we will be thinking about our ‘Dreams and Goals’ and how important it is to stay motivated.
In Spring 2 we will be learning about ‘Amazing Africa’. We will find out some great facts about Africa, we explore the ‘Big Five’ African animals and compare them to the animals that we see around us in our local area. In Science, we will be naming, describing and grouping animals according to their diet. In Geography we will be learning about the weather in the UK and thinking about how it may be different in other countries. DT will involve us designing, creating and evaluating a djembe drum.
