Year 5
Year 5 is the beginning of Upper Key Stage 2 and the children make the exciting move upstairs in the North Pole Site. Year 5 consists of two classes: Fiennes and Peake. From Year 5 onwards, the children are able to bring in their own pencil cases. (Please see the uniform section of our website for a list of stationery). The uniform changes very slightly in Year 5, as the children will need to wear a collared shirt and a school tie, along with a v- neck jumper or cardigan. We encourage all children to wear their uniform with pride. Children are allowed to walk to and from school independently from Year 5 onwards; however, we need parents to email the office account: office@scottprimary.co.uk to provide written permission for this. We also allow any child walking to and from school independently, to bring a mobile phone with them for the journey. All mobile phones must be turned off before entering the school playground and handed to the school office where they will be kept securely during the school day. A Mobile Phone Agreement needs to be signed by both the children and the parents before being allowed to bring phones into school. This agreement clearly outlines the expectations surrounding their safe use.
