Scott Primary Digital Leaders
We are the Digital Leaders of Scott Primary School. We support our classes across the school with the application of ICT in lessons. We also help to collect information about the apps we use in school, help look after the ICT equipment and promote E-Safety within the school through assemblies and support videos for classes.
How do you become a Digital Leader?
The Scott Digital Leaders are responsible for supporting teachers and pupils with technology.
They apply for the position of Digital Leader by writing a statement which demonstrates their interest, skills and expertise in the use of technology as well as why they would make a good Digital Leader.
The applications are reviewed by Mrs Worrall and the current Digital Leaders. There is then a class vote on who should represent the class a Digital Leader. If the pupil shows good technology skills AND is performing well in class, they may be selected as one children to join the team.
What does a Digital Leader do?
Digital Leaders have many responsibilities. They are responsible for running small clubs on topics such as animation, photography and coding. Teachers often call upon the Digital Leaders to help in the classroom and they work closely with the Assistant Headteacher across the whole curriculum. The music in the assembly hall is controlled by the Digital Leaders on a daily basis.

What else do you need to know?
The Digital Leaders are independent, trust worthy and classroom role models. They have been to visit companies within Bedfordshire to find out more about technology in our local area. Last year, they went to visit TT Rockstars to find out what happens behind the screens. They learned about the coding used to create the program and spoke to the merchandise and interface designers about the programs they use and how it works. ttrockstars.com
