Bumblebees - Year 1

Welcome to Bumblebees Class!

Your teacher will be Miss Struth and your teaching assistant will be Miss Collins. We have so many exciting activities planned for September and we are looking forward to learning lots of new things and covering some really interesting topics. Our Year One topics will be called: Walking with Dinosaurs, Around the World, Terrific Toys, Amazing Africa, Wild and Wonderful and Land Ahoy!

We will be using the ICT Suite, Hall and our outdoor area to extend our learning. We can’t wait to see you see you soon, we are going to have a fantastic year!

Interesting facts about Bumblebees

There are over 250 different kinds of bumblebee in the world – 25 of these live in the UK. Bumblebees live together in family groups. Each family lives in a nest ruled by a queen who is helped by her daughters (called worker bees).There can be up to 400 bees in a single bumblebee nest.
