Physical Education

At Scott Primary School

Physical Education

Our school is a hive of activity with so many fantastic opportunities for our students.

We believe that physical activity is vital for a healthy and active life and every student has at least two hours of physical education per week, along with club selection and keep fit activities in their classrooms.

PE is a key part of the curriculum at Scott Primary and in order for students to gain a full experience at school we offer many extra curricular opportunities.

Key Stage 2 provides four clubs before school, five lunchtime clubs and two after school clubs and these include;
  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Rugby
  • Dodgeball
  • Cross Country
  • Softball
  • Badminton
  • Table Tennis

Key Stage 1 includes;

  • Multi Sports
  • Football
  • Tag Rugby

These clubs help towards supporting students wellbeing and social skills, along with harnessing their technical improvements.

Alongside our wealth of clubs our dedicated PE Teacher, Mr Allen, arranges home and away fixtures with other schools and The Bedford School Sporting Partnership also organise various sporting competitions too.

We have a lot to offer at Scott Primary Primary PE and our values are focused on effort, behaviour, teamwork and attainment.

We are proud to work with the following partners;
  • Bedford Blues- providing weekly rugby lessons in KS1 and 2.
  • Premier Sports- providing weekly PE lessons in Key Stage 1.
  • Falcons Gym- providing weekly PE lessons, taster sessions and after school clubs for students in KS1 and KS2.
