Butterflies - Nursery

Welcome to Butterflies Class!

Miss Blazi and Mrs Sarney are going to be our teachers this year. Mrs Johnston, Mrs Thorne and Mr Nicholls will be helping in our class too! We are looking forward to learning all about you when you start in Nursery. We have lots of fun things planned for you, including learning about Ourselves, Pirates, Animals, our World and even exploring our woods! You are going to have so much fun learning and making new friends. We are excited to meet you and begin our year of learning and fun!

Interesting facts about Butterflies

Butterflies have taste receptors on their feet to help them find their host plants and locate food. A female butterfly lands on different plants, drumming the leaves with her feet until the plant releases its juices. Adult butterflies can only feed on liquids—usually nectar. A butterfly’s lifecycle is made up of four parts, egg, larva (caterpillars), pupa (chrysalis) and adult.
